WakeJumper frowned a little bit, before scrambling to follow Deluge. "Explosions?!" The youngling clung to the femme "Promise you'll come back?" The worry was evident in his tone.
-----------------
After Perceptor had made sure Showtime had gotten at least one cube of energon finished, and after the femme had shooed her guardian off to meet with the team he would be working with, Showtime let out a small sigh. She shook her head, squared her shoulders, and commed Ironhide. Where are we meeting up?
------------------
I think so...I was on my way to the Autobot base, I think there's going to be a fight or something soon. Where're you heading? Maybe we can travel together for a ways? Oh, and before I forget, thanks for pulling me outta the ditch... Bluestreak trailed off, studying Downrush's alt-mode with quiet curiosity.

Deluge wrapped her arms around the youngling. "Of *course* I'll come back! What, you think a few lousy 'Cons are gonna keep me from being here to keep you out of trouble? You just behave yourself while I'm gone, and I'll be back before you know it, without so much as a scratch on my paint. I promise."
Bumblebee commed Prowl. Where are we meeting up?

Optimus and Ironhide stood just outside the hanger, a yin and yang of control and chaos. The only thing holding Ironhide in check was the task at hand.
Optimus and I are just outside. Move, we should have been there breems ago.
The Peterbilt slanted the black mech a glance at the open comm, more tactless than usual for the weapons specialist, but considering his urgency, perhaps forgivable.
-----------
Rewire took a deep breath through his intakes. Seemed like he was guarding the base and keeping the home fires burning in the medbay until the medic was retrieved. The engineer liked Ratchet, had now worked with and on him, owed the mech the safe delivery of his daughter... He looked around, still feeling trapped in the other mech's space, but hoped the rest of the teams would ensure the CMO would be back in his domain soon enough.

Whirlwind looked up from what he was doing and grinned savagely, "This is going to be fun."
The bomber quickly moved to find his teammates. Hopefully, they will get him back.
After finding them, the bomber nodded to them, "We go now?"
~*~*~*~ "Aha, damnit! I was about done with that high-grade, let me g-" He stopped protested as the words from the comlink seetled in, "....Another fight, already? FREAKING SLAG, YESSSSS!!"
No need to drag the crazy twin anymore, he walked with his twin by the power of his own feet, "Right, time to kick some 'cons afts!"
The red twin grinned savagely.
~*~*~*~*~ Yohoho, ye call the right 'bot t' be loud, Capitan! The pirate said with a grin, Hm, doubt I will be allow t' tie up Charge with bombs and throw him at the 'cons, yar.
She went off to meet her teammates, and when she meet them, the pirate flashed a grin at them. "Alloy!"
~*~*~ The ninja had a idea. A very crazy idea, she glanced at the reallly big 'con and pondered. The ninja nodded her head and comlink Callous to tell her of her plans.
ARE YOU INSANE!? That...damnit. What the heck? Me and the drones will help, and get some normal non-spray paint, I have a idea. Oh. Make it girly purple. The replied comlink.
Okay! The ninja left to gather the stuff she will need, and after awhile, she come back and handed Callous the paint she wanted, the inventer nodded to the ninja and put the paint in some...bombs?
"You are going throw that at him?"
The inventor snorted, "Of course, what did ya think I was going to do?"
After, the bombs were filled, they went outside and spraypainted the 'con with neon pink, and after the sequins were put on and the words "I'm so pretty! Oh so witty and bright!" was spraypaint on him as well, it come time to throw the paint bombs at him.
'Aww. I think we made him look so pretty, do ya think?" commented a drone as it look at the colorful 'con.
"Yes, we did." Fluffy grinned back.

I hear you; 'Bee, Calypso, Inferno, hangar. We take parallel approach to Optimus' team, but opposing entry points. Move now. I'll be there, commed back the tactician, breaking down both his rifles to give them a final check. Prowl stepped out of the base, nodded to both CO and weapons specialist.

Aye, Captain! The pirate replied cheerfully and looked at her guns and bombs, she almost broken into a grin again.
Hope we will kill the base 'con, this time, yar.
The pirate glanced to give the people she will work for a look.

Understood... Showtime hurried to meet up with Ironhide and the rest of the team.
----
As Desinex walked alongside Quicksilver, her thoughts trailed to the autobot that had willingly walked into the base. She wanted to tear the fragger's very spark out...and give the casing to Quicksilver as a gift. Chuckling lowly, the femme leaned against Quicksilver briefly. "I just had a wonderful idea...." From her tone, it was fairly obvious that whatever she had in mind could either be highly entertaining, or very painful, depending on one's point of view.
-------------------
Dewbot continued to dance about the Decepticon base, pausing briefly when he saw the giant base-con covered in sparklies and shinies. The vending-machine-decepticon tilted his head a bit, before adding his own special "flair" to the work, firing off a few rounds of Mountain Dew at the giant mech's head. Cackling, Dewbot danced a little bit more before heading back inside, feeling rather pleased with himself.
-----
WakeJumper nodded a bit, and hugged Deluge one more time. "Okay...I'll be good. Promise."

Joust had just walked out of the base and stared at the base 'con in shock? "...Must have been Hoshi." And then the smell hit him, he blinked in surprise, "What...the?" The knight stepped back in surprise. OOC: Poor 'con?

Ironhide had started pacing like a caged animal despite the irony that he was outside the base or any sort of containment. He paused and looked at Mosquito and Showtime when they found their ways outside.
Finally he stopped and glared at the base entrance, barking through the comms. Redstar, get your titanic tan aft out here so we can leave!
-------
Cloudburst snickered slightly and gave Redstar a kiss as she stood. "I best get going, don't want to be late, right hun? Be safe." She touched him through their bond, promising to follow her own advice. Make sure your brother knows to stay with Raven. Even though your father is here, you know how distracted he gets.
A final touch to his armor and the copter went to find Perceptor and Whirlwind.
-------
Optimus noticed Phoenix and Deluge coming out of the base, and showed more patience for his own wayward soldier, Showdown, we almost are ready to leave. What is your ETA?

((*smacks Ironhide's hand* Frag it mech! RS can't help it that I wasn't here last night! And get used to it! I won't be here tonight either! *sticks tongue out*))
Redstar was a bit stunned when FireBond clung to him and hesitantly patted his back in an effor to comfort him. Then came Ironhide's bark over the comm to which he replied, Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm on my way.
"Righ, FireBond, I got my orders to get movin'. There's been some trouble and we're gunna go and take care of it, ok? Now you gotta remember to stay here with Raven, ok? Dad's stayin' too, but he's gonna be real busy in the control room keepin' an eye on everything. We'll be back before too long, don't you worry."
Redstar looked up at Cloudburst as she left and gave her a nervous smile. If he were completely honest, he both loved and loathed her altmode. He loved how graceful she was simply because of it. He hated the fact that she was a flier and that put her up against the 'con fliers. Even though he would never tell her this because of how much she liked being independent and hated being mollycoddled, he desperately wanted to find a way to keep her on the ground and next to him.
You come back to me in one piece and stay away from those slaggin' Seekers. He paused for a moment, Watch out for Nightstrike.
"Right Bubba, gotta get goin or else 'Hide's gonna frag my aft! You stick close to Raven and we'll see ya when we get back."
He patted FireBond on the back again and ran out to the others and made his apologies. "Yeah, sorry, had to get my little brother sorted out."
~*~*~*~
Raven looked around the room at the sparklings and sighed. These things were never easy for the little ones to understand.
Rewire, you alright in there?
~*~*~*~
Red stammered for a moment, yet again thrown by a mere touch to his shoulder.
Frag it! Stop that!
What was going on? Red... didn't know. Not for certain and he wasn't even sure if he wanted to know either. Fortunately the awkward moment was broken by the comm message. Red sighed in relief for the reprisal, but cringed internally when Inferno insisted that *whatever* was discussed later.
"Ok, fine, we'll talk once all of this is done."
He took the cue from Inferno's nudge and reluctantly left his friend, paused for a moment and looked back with a concerned look on his face. He tried to keep his tone light, but failed. Be careful out there, Inferno. You just got here and I would hate to see your sorry aft slagged in the first battle you take part in here.
Once he could no longer see Inferno, he ran to the control room and took his station.
~*~*~*~
Quicksilver quirked an optic ridge at Desinex, "And what, pray tell, did you have in mind?"

Showdown joined her teammates. "Sorry for the delay. I'm ready to go."
----------------------
Bumblebee made his way to the hangar quickly. He nodded to Prowl and waited for the others to arrive. They just better hurry, we gotta get him out of there ASAP. He wanted to get the medic out of there right away. They *couldn't* leave him there much longer, every minute delayed was a minute more that Ratchet might not have.

Shaba quickly made her way down to the holding area and saw Thundercracker leaning against the wall, keeping watch of the Autobot CMO and the mech known as Spectre.
TC gave a snort when he saw shaba and stood up to confront her.
"Don't start, TC...I've already had to deal with Skywarp" Shaba cut him off before TC could even speak.
"Maybe I should throw you in one of these cells!' TC shot back, livid.
"Oh?, maybe you could join me, hmm?" Shaba replied, cooly.
Thundercracker's optics widened in shock at the femme's reply. He was ready to attack Shaba, but the Seeker managed to hold back.
"Don't try me, femme. You've really been a pain in the aft, lately, you know? I don't know what's glitched your circuits, but you better fix it" TC warned as he once again leaned against the wall opposite the cells.
Shaba lowered her head and sighed.
"I'm bored, TC! I've been shut in this bunker and left out of battles or...anything, really...I...haven't had much fun at all, lately..." Shaba trailed off, staring at the floor.
TC glanced over at Shaba. A part of his spark actually felt sorry for her, but he dared not let her think that...he had an image to maintain.

Nah kid. Don't worry 'bout it, was the nonchalant reply from the Aquabot. He could feel the other's attention focused on his alt form, and felt a little inclined to explain it. It's a Humdiga. An amphibious vehicle, so land doesn't stop me. I'm an Aquabot, and I'm heading the same place you are. My team should be there.
---
Phoenix did make it outside before Ironhide's rather harsh comm came through, and barely stopped herself from staring at the soldier. She knew better now, and just moved to get it on with, slightly thankful she wouldn't be in his group. Actually going inside the base was a completely different matter than just luring them out. The femme glanced up at Optimus as she stilled, waiting for the rest of her assigned group to come along.
---
Sunstreaker rolled his optics at his brother's sudden change-of-mind, continuing to tug his twin down the hallway. "Just shut up and come on. We have to meet up with Wheeljack and those two Aquabots. Slaggit, why Aquabots?" Wheeljack's sentence cut into the air, just behind the twins. "Because they've gotta be useful somehow." Actually touching the twins, 'Jack made them walk faster towards the exit. "Now move your sorry afts." Sunstreaker growled, but obligingly picked up the pace.
---
Inferno caught the comm from Prowl just before another from Red came through, and he had to smile at his friend's concern. Relax, Red. I ain't gonna die during an inflitration o'th' 'Con base. I'll be back 'n no time t'all. Wit' Ratchet 'n tow. Coming into the hanger, he saw the tactician, and nodded once to him and the other 'Bots that had gathered.. "M'ready when y'all are."
--
FireBond looked up at his brother once he said he had to move, but things had already been discussed and both Redstar and Cloudburst had hurried out. He glanced once towards Raven before giving a small, discontent sound. He had been left with his brother, and now he was gone too. Slowly, the sparkling made his way over towards Raven, settling down nearby the femme, but not quite in her lap. Instead, he opted to look around the now-empty common room, and he felt a shiver run through his body. Just a few moments ago, it had been full of bots and activity. And he didn't like it empty.

Raven looked at FireBond and stroked his back, "It's alright. Everything will be just fine. Look, there's all the other sparklings to play with."
~*~*~*~
Red shook his head at Inferno's nonchalant reply. It did nothing to calm his nerves. In fact, it only served to make him more jumpy. He himself had been in the Decepticon base and he knew the kind of "hospitality" they doled out to their guests. He sighed, trying his best to push his worry aside, but failing.
Redstar, Cloudburst, you two be careful.
Aw, dad, we'll be in and out in no time, doncha worry.
Red blinked. What was it with the ones he cared for wanting to go charging into that place and acting so *blase* about it!?
Redstar, I mean it. Watch your back, stay away from your sister if you can help it.
Redstar grunted. If he did see his sister, he'd be all to happy to blast her spark out of her and bring back a bit of her for a trophy, but he kept that to himself considering that it was a fairly 'con kind of thought. Instead he calmly replied, Yeah, I promise.
With another sigh, he continued to check all communication links and performed some of his other pre-battle checks.

Prowl eyed his team, and nodded. He glanced in the direction of his CO, seeking for the other's optics as he opened a private commline to the Peterbilt, and all teams involved.
Signature masking and stealth. Chances are that there's someone keeping tabs on activity in our area.
--------------------
The virus, he'd found, was rather simple; it fooled firewalls into letting it through as a harmless datapack, but once it embedded itself into essential programs, it began to wreck the coding, scrambling it and breaking data strings. Which eventually led to glitches, ghosting within processors, and erratic behaviour, with the potential corruption and loss of data. And then to stasis lock, an possible permanent damage, leaving a victim either little more than a shell, or just about as useful as a feral drone.
All these and more Dissever wrote into his report, leaving nothing out; including that a synthesized version could be, and had been made, but without refining, it was volatile and prone to mutating, rewriting its own code at a rapid pace, and at intermittent intervals. There was no easy antidote, except to perform a manual check and rewrite of scrambled code lines before more than 55% of total code lines were re-written or destroyed outright.
And as the Benz went back to his initial assessment, he whuffed a sigh. It was potentially deadly - but the cost was the method of infection had to be direct. Data transfers, via direct link with an infected mech. Or, simply by hacking into a mech and slipping the virus in.
The CMO leant back in his chair, cross-referencing older medical texts. Simulations could only extrapolate so much. He needed results from at least one trial on an actual subject... and speaking of subjects, there ought to be at least a POW in those holding cells...
Moving with purpose, the CMO sent off the report, and his intentions to the Decepticon leader, and copied the 2IC on them, before heading right down to the cells. And he tipped his head curiously; not one, but two, and the other was a medic - greatly intriguing, and if nothing else, it would be -
"Oh, sweet Primus," he drawled aloud as recognition clicked. He strode past the guarding jets. "If it isn't the Autobot CMO, Ratchet himself."
--------------------
An advantage to being a medic was that one had a finer knowledge of a mech's systems, which allowed for very specific direction of self-repair capabilities. Ratchet was nowhere near as functional as he wanted to be - felt like he'd been steam-rolled by one of the gestalts, for Primus' sakes, no thanks to that fraggin' slagheaded aft-headed 'Con leader - but he was just about conscious enough, had just about enough power to boot up optics and visual processing, and respond to that faintly mocking southern-style drawl.
With a hiss and a snarl, naturally.

((Let me just take a moment to apologize for the following EEEPPPIIICCC PPPOOOSSSTTT!!! I do believe it it my most epic to date. In a nutshell, NS goes down to the cells. All this to get her from point A to B. Let's just say she took the *very* scenic route. ;D)) ((I never knew Dissever had a southern accent! Squee!))
Nightstrike had lain on her recharge bed for ages, listening to the sparkling and answering the myriad of questions it threw her way. After a while, it stilled and grew silent, apparently slipping into it's own recharge.
Still lying there, she stared at the ceiling, thinking of everything and of nothing at the same time. Her processor jumped from subject to subject, none of them ever fully registering with her. Brief flashes of old memories burst forth onto her optics, but even these made no impact. Faces of friend, foe and family paraded through her mind, none of them elliciting any kind of emotional response. It was, to use a human analogy, a bit like watching someone's vacation videos or slides. You simply sat and endured it.
Nightstrike was... bored.
No.
That was an understatment.
Nightstrike was bored beyond belief! She could not remember ever having felt this bored. It was not often that her life had a quiet spell, and to be honest, she didn't enjoy it now that she had hit one. It was like a sailing ship stuck in the doldrums. The ship would bob on the waves, rock to and fro, but never made any real headway.
She sighed.
Megatron had told her to take care of herself. Which she had done and continued to do so.
Dissever had told her to rest more. Which she was doing, as much as she hated it.
She also hated that he was right about the energon consumption going up. Even as she lay thinking, her tanks rumbled, demanding to be filled soon. Listening to their command, she slowly got to her feet and raided the pile of cubes she had tucked away. She laughed to herself and thought, "Primus forbid! If Megatron found that I took a couple of his own cubes." In fact, it was one of these that she now sipped. He never told her where he got his energon from, all she did know was that it seemed better than the standard highgrade the rest of them received. She justified taking the two cubes by telling herself they satiated her hunger better than the usual highgrade which was usually what she drank. As much as the others may have thought she got special treatment, she did not, really. Megatron perhaps gave her a bit more freedom, a bit more wiggle room, but not much. He gave her the chance to state her argument at times, but he was never loathe to remind her who was boss if she crossed the line. Usually, however, when they had one of their rare spats (Rare only because they infrequently saw one another, and when they did see one another they were usually too... busy to have a real conversation.) his optics would dance with amusement and his voice held a gently mocking tone.
She shrugged, so was the nature of their relationship. For the most part, he held all the cards and she constantly had to guess his hand. "No matter," she thought. For reasons that she and she alone could fathom (and even she didn't even understand it at times) she was totally, utterly and completely devoted to him. And it didn't matter (much) to her that he didn't always reciprocate it. That was how he was, as maddening as it could be.
She drained the last of the cube, feeling it refreshing her and lifting her energy levels a bit and sat the empty cube down on a table. She watched FrostBite still sleeping and looked around the room, sick of the four walls that now surrounded her. Carefully picking him up, she cradled him against her and went to the medbay just for the sake of seeing somebody.
Walking in, she peered around and did not see anyone.
"Dissever?"
Blizzard peeked out of the office and saw Nighstrike. "So what have you done to yourself *now*?! I've never known a femme - or even a mech for that matter - who spent as much time in the medbay as you do!"
"And how nice to see you too, Blizzard." Nighstrike said in a cold voice.
"Well, it's true." Blizzard shifted nervously and tried to backtrack from her previous statement.
"I know. Is Dissever here?" She shifted FrostBite again and shuffled her feet in impatience.
"No, he is not. He's been busy working on that virus. Think he more or less cracked it though and is paying a little visit to the Autobot in the cell."
"Oh." She thought for a moment. "Would you mind keeping an eye on FrostBite for me?"
Blizzard scowled, "Why?"
"Oh, no reason. I just would like to have a bit of a break."
"I am not a designated sparkling sitter, you know!"
Nightstrike growled, "Yes, I know that, but I have a bit more clout than you do and I need you to keep him for a bit."
Blizzard rolled her optics and then pinned Nighstrike with a sly look, "What's in it for me?"
"The satisfaction of a job well done?"
Blizzard laughed, "Ha! No way. Not good enough. Not anywhere *near* good enough!"
Nightstrike pursed her lips and took a few steps towards Blizzard. The nurse, knowing full well of what Nighstrike was capable backed away, which made Nightstrike frown.
"Stop that! I was merely going to tell you that if you do this for me, I'd be happy to give you a cube of Megatron's own highgrade."
The nurse studied Nighstrike's face for a moment and then nodded in agreement. "Fine, I'll watch him. You better not be lying. I'll know the difference!"
"Why would I lie?" Her face was the absolute picture of innocence as she laid FrostBite down on a berth for the rest of his recharge. "If he wakes, let him play with those bits and pieces that you had for him before. He seemed quite disappointed that I took him away from that before. I shouldn't be long though." Nightstrike caressed FrostBite's cheek, leaned down and kissed his temple and left the medbay.
Blizzard rolled her optics at the display and grumbled to herself. "Honestly..."
Nightstrike made her way to the cells, nothing planned. Just a little trip to the zoo, she thought with great amusement and fought the urge to skip like a sparkling. Sweeping into the dark hall that led to the cells, she nodded a greeting to Thundercracker but she more or less ignored Shaba. They never had gotten along and Nightstrike could never see that changing, not that it bothered her. Passing a table, something caught her eye and an optic ridge arched elegantly. Inquisitive fingers stroked cool metal while the memory of searing, intense pain made her snarl.
The medic's blades.
The same blades that nearly killed her in the last battle.
Out of curiosity, she picked them up and inspected them as she walked, marvelling that this bit of metal could be used to save lives or destroy them, depending on the mind of the one who possessed them. Nightstrike only half noticed Dissever and quirked him a quick smile as she leaned against a wall, waiting for him to finish with the Autobot CMO.

Desinex chuckled a bit. "Why don't we pay our autobot friend a visit?" She flexed the fingers on one hand, letting the light catch her claws just so. "I'll bet he's feeling rather...lonely..."
----------------------------------
Really? Who's all on your team? Are they all amphibious vehicles like you or something different? Bluestreak questioned the Aquabot as he started to head towards the nearest highway. If the incident of a short time ago was any indication of the conditions of the other roads in the area, the Sunfire wanted to at least find a path that was paved.
-----------------------------------
Perceptor hurried to meet Cloudburst and Whirlwind. He wasn't familiar with them, but put his faith in Optimus's judgment. He could only hope that Showtime would be able to stay out of trouble. Once he caught up with the team he was assigned to, he noticed something that concerned him. "We're still short one teammate...I do hope Bluestreak arrives soon..."
----------------------------------
Showtime ran a quick mental inventory of her ammo, considering something. Sure, her weapon gave her a slight advantage as a sniper in that she could remain silent and not give away her position as easily, but the ammunition was in dire need of an upgrade if she hoped to do any sort of permanent damage to the Decepticons...The sniper made a mental note to ask Perceptor for his advice on the matter, once Ratchet was safely back, and things had settled down.

WakeJumper made his way to the common room, waving at the other sparklings present.

FireBond made a small sound of discontent before glancing up at Raven. Everyone was always rushing everywhere, like the world was falling down around them. Things weren't going to be slow, were they? The sparkling opted for just sitting there instead of joining the other sparklings.
---
Inferno shifted on his feet, more than ready to get moving on the mission. The more time they spent standing here, the more time the 'Cons had to get the advantage. Not that they didn't already have it.
---
FrostBite was half-aware of being picked up, but was far too content being cradled against Nightstrike's chest to even begin waking up. But once a voice besides Nightstrike's started up, the sparkling's optics slowly flickered online. The medbay, he noticed, and that wasn't a mech's voice.. It had to be Blizzard. And what was passing between the two could not have been completely civil. Even so, Frost didn't feel complete awareness return to him until after he had been left in the medbay. Apparently, this was Nightstrike's nursery-of-choice. Frowning a little, mainly out of boredom, the sparkling started to move quickly, but quietly. Slipping from the berth he had been placed on, Frost darted underneath a different one.
---
A few of them went by the names Depth Charge, Calypso, and Deluge. And there was a little one; WakeJumper. I don't know what alts they have, though. Downrush was more than thankful when the rain finally let up, his holoform flickering back into existence. I haven't seen them since we had been seperated.

Twilight looked at FireBond from her mother's lap and simply flopped over Raven's thigh onto her back, looking up at the silver sparkling. "You ok?"
-------
A sudden intake and a sigh half carried through a private commline to his sparkmate. Yeah, Raven, I'm fine. Just pretendin' to be a medic till we get the real mech back. Since I'm on standby, needa hand with the sparklin' brood?
If not, Rewire was going to go work on Nebula's protoform. The medbay was ready and waiting, and something about being in the CMO's space was eating at the engineer's processors. Part of it felt like it was a jinx, another was simple male, whatever the species, territoriality. He wouldn't have wanted someone poking around in his workshop unless it was actually necessary. So he was itching to get out until the situation demanded that he return.
-------
Cloudburst nodded to Perceptor, "Hello... Perceptor, then? Well, we are stationed at half-way and are the fastest, so it's alright if we get a late start. Hopefully he will arrive soon."
-------
The weapons specialist snorted at Redstar's reply through the comms, and leveled the young mech with an glare when he emerged from the base. "Fine, understandable," he growled with an impatient whir of his cannons. Waiting around was bad enough, and he just wanted the the three distraction and/or demolition teams to move out so they could get started. The sooner the others were keeping the Decepticons busy, the sooner he and his own team could move in.

Optimus nodded to Prowl's command to keep sigs masked and run silent. Wheeljack, once your team is ready, get to that base mech. You all are responsible for keeping him from decimating the other teams as they come in. Prowl's and my own teams will be just behind you, swinging wide to hit either extreme of the base at the same time. Ironhide, follow last with your group. Air team, you are on call. Take your positions.
The CO folded down into his alt and the semi shifted forward, beginning the trek to the opposing base. Be fast, be careful. Autobots, roll out.
